Cookie Policy

Website: https://www.francesco.world/www/

Last updated: 9 August 2026

This policy describes the cookies and equivalent storage technologies used by this website. It supplements the Privacy Policy, and it is provided under Article 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, which implements Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, and in line with the Italian supervisory authority's Cookie Guidelines of 10 June 2021.

1. The short version

This website sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no profiling cookies. Nothing on it tracks you, builds a profile of you, or follows you to any other site.

Two pieces of storage are used, both of them first party and both strictly necessary for the site to function. Under Article 122 these are exempt from the consent requirement, which is why you are not asked to accept anything.

One third party request is made, for typefaces. It sets no cookie, but it does reveal your IP address to Google. It is described in section 4, because you are entitled to know about it even though it is not, strictly speaking, a cookie.

2. What a cookie is, and what counts as one

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and send back on later requests. The law, however, is not concerned only with cookies as such: Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive covers any storing of information, or gaining of access to information already stored, on your device. That includes localStorage, sessionStorage, and similar browser storage.

This policy therefore covers all of it, and not only cookies in the narrow technical sense.

3. What this site actually stores on your device

3.1 PHPSESSID (session cookie)

Type First party HTTP cookie
Set by This website's own server
Set when Only when you open the contact page at /contact/ or submit the contact form. It is not set on any other page of the site.
Purpose Carries the single use anti forgery token that proves a form submission genuinely came from the contact page, and preserves what you typed if the form has to be shown again with an error message.
Contains A random session identifier. No name, no email address, no message content.
Duration Session only: it is deleted when you close your browser.
Consent Not required. Strictly necessary within the meaning of Article 122(1).

3.2 has_shown_rapidweaver_privacy_message (local storage entry)

Type First party localStorage entry, not a cookie
Set by This website's own script, rw_common/assets/message.js
Set when Only if and when you dismiss the notice banner
Purpose Remembers that you have already dismissed the banner, so it is not shown again on every page
Contains The single value true
Duration Persists until you clear your browser's site data
Consent Not required. Strictly necessary to give effect to a preference you expressed.

Nothing else is stored. There are no other cookies, no other storage entries, and no third party cookies of any kind.

4. A third party request that is not a cookie

The site's stylesheet loads two typefaces, Montserrat and Open Sans, from Google's servers at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com rather than from this site. Your browser makes this request automatically on every page.

Google does not set a cookie in order to serve those fonts. But the request itself transmits your IP address, your browser's user agent string, and the address of the page you are viewing to Google, which acts as an independent controller for that data under its own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

This is disclosed here rather than quietly omitted, because a reasonable reader checking a cookie policy wants to know which third parties their browser contacts, not merely which ones set cookies.

To prevent it: use a browser extension that blocks third party requests, or enable your browser's setting to block remote fonts. The site stays fully readable and falls back to a typeface already on your device.

5. Why there is no "Accept / Reject" banner

Consent under Article 122 is required for storage that is not strictly necessary: analytics, advertising, profiling, audience measurement, and the like. This site uses none of those. Both items in section 3 are technical and necessary, and both fall within the statutory exemption.

Asking you to consent to something the law does not require consent for would be noise, not protection. So the site does not ask.

If non essential cookies are ever introduced, a genuine consent mechanism will be added first: one with equally prominent accept and reject options, and a working way to change your mind, as the Italian supervisory authority's June 2021 guidelines require. Nothing non essential will be set before you have agreed to it.

6. How to control storage yourself

You do not need this site's permission to remove anything it has stored. Every browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and site data.

  • Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data
  • Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third party cookies and Site data
  • Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions

Deleting the two items in section 3 has no lasting effect. The session cookie is simply recreated the next time you use the contact form, and the dismissed banner reappears once.

Note that blocking all cookies will prevent the contact form from working, because the anti forgery token has nowhere to live. That is a genuine functional dependency, not a persuasion tactic.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy is updated whenever the site's use of cookies or storage changes. The date at the top reflects the current version.

Notice
This website does not track you. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no profiling cookies. The only things stored on your device are a session cookie used by the contact form, and a note that you dismissed this message. Web fonts are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address. Full detail is in the cookie policy and the privacy policy. There is nothing here to consent to. Dismiss simply closes this notice.
